Documented and ready

Accounts receivable follow-up for Illinois law firms

Our AR specialists follow up on your past-due invoices as an extension of your firm, so your attorneys don’t have to make the awkward calls. If an account still isn’t paid at day 90, you get a dated record of every reminder and contact, documented and ready if you choose collections or small claims.

Flat monthly fee from $519. You keep 100% of what’s collected.

Polite and documented

Someone else makes the calls. Nothing goes unrecorded.

01

An extension of your firm

AR specialists follow up in your firm’s name by email, phone and text, from templates you approve. We never discuss the legal matter and never argue a bill. Disputes come straight to you.

02

Every touch, dated

Each reminder, call, text and reply is logged with the date and what was said, so you always know where an account stands.

03

Illinois calling hours

Calls and texts go out between 8 a.m. and 9 p.m. in your client’s time zone, the window Illinois’s Collection Agency Act (205 ILCS 740/9.2) and federal rules treat as convenient.

At day 90

Documented and ready, if you need it.

Any account still open comes back to your firm with a dated record of every reminder and contact. What happens next is your call.

Collections

Illinois Rule of Professional Conduct 1.6(b)(5) lets a lawyer reveal client information only as reasonably necessary to establish a claim against a client, such as an unpaid fee. We never discuss the legal matter, and your record shows what was tried, and when.

Small claims

In Illinois, a small claim is one for $10,000 or less (Ill. S. Ct. R. 281). The invoice, delivery dates and every follow-up are documented and ready if you choose to file.

Fee questions

If a client questions the bill, we stop and send it to you with the full history, so you can talk it through, or use the Chicago Bar Association’s fee dispute program, open to attorneys practicing in Illinois, if both sides agree.

Whether to refer, file or write off an account is always your firm’s call. ARCounsel is not a law firm and does not give legal advice.

How it works

Polite from the first note to the last.

Let’s look at your receivables together.

Tell us a little about your Illinois firm. We’ll show you what your clients would receive, what the day 90 record looks like, and how you stay in control.

  1. You send the form. We reply by email to find a time that suits you.
  2. We talk it through. How you bill today, which software you use, and example reminders written in your firm’s voice.
  3. You decide. If it looks like a fit, we send the plan and the service agreement for you to review. No pressure either way.
